I am surprised that Ted Cruz, John Kasich and the Democrats aren’t blaming Donald Trump for the violence in Brussels. After all, that is their kind of shtick, isn’t it?
Worldwide terrorism. Bernie Sanders is going to manage it with income equality and free college. Hillary Clinton is going to bark at them and hit them with her purse. We are definitely up the river with no paddle.
Hillary Clinton is buying her candidacy with big business money. Trump is proving his worth and resourcefulness by being thrifty to get his chance. Trump’s thinking is what is needed in the White House.
Candidates make promises and welsh on the majority of them (“Read my lips: no new taxes”). Donald Trump will not keep the majority of his campaign promises. The Mexicans won’t pay for a wall. He won’t get your job back at Boeing unless it is in his best interest.
Senate Republicans warn Obama that he cannot do anything in the next 300 days without incurring their strong intransigence – the same warning they gave him the day he was inaugurated. The majority of Americans do not want this kind of blind-obstructionism-for-its-own-sake policy.
Nice Eagle editorial on Sens. Pat Roberts and Jerry Moran not upholding the Constitution by refusing to advise and consent (March 18 Opinion). More than that, they swore an oath to uphold the Constitution. I guess a sworn oath means nothing now. Get rid of them.
Pray and lower the flag for gun violence. Our politicians have that routine down cold. But they should be praying for forgiveness for their own part in promoting it, then lowering the flag in mourning for making us the deadliest country in the world with guns for all.
How can Democratic state lawmakers demand the resignation of the head of a state agency after she endorsed Donald Trump? Or, for that matter, anyone she would want to endorse? Democrats want free speech, but not when you don’t agree with them.
The comment that a constitutional amendment to guarantee a right to hunt, fish and trap somehow infringes on a landowner’s rights was way over the top. If you do not want someone on your property, simply post it. Call the sheriff if they come back. Problem solved.
While we are at it, can Kansans vote on a constitutional amendment guaranteeing my right to go bird-watching, anywhere and anytime? I’m sure there are some other dysfunctional states that have done this.
