Every time there is a mass shooting, Republicans insist the answer is not to restrict access to guns but to fix the mental health system. But instead, the Republicans cut funding for the mental health system, which – according to their own logic – ensures that there will be more mass shootings.
The calls for banning “assault weapons” have started again, with liberals saying no one needs these guns. Banners don’t know, or care, that assault weapons are this country’s No. 1 hunting rifles.
Do we taxpayers provide health insurance for our governor, lieutenant governor, senators, representatives and other elected positions, thus socialized health care, while they deny Medicaid expansion for the working needy in our state?
Once again the NCAA has shown its politics – crazy rankings, putting KU and WSU in same region again, OU basically playing at home, etc. Maybe FIFA and the NCAA have the same board of directors.
WSU plays and goes home angry. Another year, no national championship. Here’s the secret they don’t know: You have to win your last game of the year. Rock chalk.

Thanks for a year of great basketball. Sorry that CBS was not fair in allowing more rest time between games. Maybe the NCAA should consider minimum rest time between games.
So proud of you, Shox. The selection committee did you in by the schedule you had to play and fatigue that set in. You were awesome against Miami under those conditions. I’m proud to be a Shocker alum.
