The Shockers played a great game. They just played it too late. Still, a great team, a great season. Congratulations!

Thank you to Gregg Marshall and the WSU men’s basketball team. Seniors Ron Baker, Fred VanVleet, Evan Wessel, Anton Grady and Bush Wamukota – you will not be forgotten. Wichita wishes the best for you for your future.

Too bad there isn’t a record category for courage, loyalty and hustle. In many ways, Evan Wessel is Mr. Shocker.

The Shockers had a good year, so please don’t taint it by whining about playing three games in five days. It’s the NCAA Tournament and that is the way it works based on your seed.

Someone allegedly fired a celebratory gunshot after a Shocker win and nearly injured a neighbor, so I think WSU’s team should be banned from the NCAA Tournament for inciting violent, hateful behavior. Do you see your own ridiculousness in that statement, Trump haters?

The Republicans are so deserving of a candidate like Donald Trump that it hurts.

Trump voters: Do you really want four years of that boorish carnival barker yelling third-grade insults at our friends and enemies? Making promises that are impossible to keep? Please don’t be a Trump chump.

Remember that time conservatives blocked the roads to a Hillary Clinton rally? Me neither.

I am suspending watching cable news shows until after the presidential election.

Oh, now I get it. The Kansas Legislature is trying to liberate children from the pernicious effects of education.

The school marquee near me said school was dismissed March 10-18. Unbelievable. Spring break-plus? Why don’t we ask for more days in the classroom rather than more money and see how that works for raising test scores?

If the big tax cut for businesses in Kansas is going to produce jobs, are the jobs in Kansas?

Isn’t it great that we have a new airport so we can wave “bye-bye” to another corporate office moving to Denver? Viega can now say it is headquartered somewhere other than Wichita. I thought the new airport was supposed to attract and keep business.

What is wrong with these city planners, putting bike paths downtown in the central business district? People are going to get killed. It is already causing traffic problems.
