Another valuable chance to hear from area lawmakers

As promised, Sen. Michael O’Donnell, R-Wichita, has scheduled a March public forum for the south-central Kansas legislative delegation, which he chairs. It will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Andover City Hall, 1609 E. Central in Andover. Members of the public may submit questions in writing at the site. “Individuals can fill out note cards and legislators will answer the questions,” O’Donnell said. Last month’s well-attended and at times heated Haysville forum, which also coincided with a 5.1 magnitude earthquake, showed how closely south-central Kansans are following the high-stakes legislative session in Topeka. – Rhonda Holman
