America’s biggest problem is not moral rot. It’s voters who put political party agendas ahead of what’s good for the country without listening, reasoning or learning, just like our politicians do. Politicians should have to pass a qualification test before taking office.
The legislators’ target for impeachment should be the governor, not the state Supreme Court justices. If financial malfeasance is impeachable, then there is adequate basis.
Our state budget crisis is exactly what Gov. Sam Brownback and the Republican Legislature wanted. The revenue shortfalls give them cover to slash spending on education and social programs. Starving those programs will usher in mass privatization. It’s all by design.
Remember, after visiting your favorite casino, it’s only a gambling problem if you’re losing.
