Does County Commission want to improve its image?

Sedgwick County Commissioner Richard Ranzau claimed during last week’s commission meeting that The Eagle editorial board wants to silence speech. Huh? The editorial board had suggested that if the County Commission wants to improve its image – as it says it does – it should keep its meetings professional (respect those who appear before the commission) and focused on county business (instead of ranting about national and international politics). If the commission doesn’t care what people think, it can keep doing what it’s been doing. – Phillip Brownlee
