When I was a little boy, I was told anybody could become president. I’m beginning to believe it.
My faith has been renewed in Kansas. Just say “no” to Hillary and Donald.
Hooray for Kansas coalescing behind Ted Cruz. Now, if Marco Rubio and John Kasich will only realize they are out of the contest, and ask their voters to coalesce behind Cruz, Republicans will have victory for our nation with Cruz elected in November.
Mitt Romney’s shining armor rusted overnight.
Republicans gave us “Tricky Dick” and it didn’t work out too well. Now they love “Tricky Ted.” Scary.
My best case for 2016: Trump will win, choose Rubio as his vice president and serve one term. He will build the wall on our southern border, obliterate ISIS, bomb Iran back into the 14th century, eliminate Obamacare and instigate a flat tax. Rubio will win in 2020.
I participated in the Saturday caucus and was amazed at the people who came out. I stood in line for a long time, but it was worth it. It really didn’t matter what candidate you supported. I loved seeing the political process in action.
Republican voters in Sedgwick County were victims of the worst organized caucus voting I have ever seen. Lack of security at the door to organize the entry, and general control and organization were pathetic. I wonder how many educated, informed voters never got to vote.
There must be many more Republicans in Johnson County, because it had nine caucus sites versus only one here. Or maybe this is a way to prevent real Republicans from voting in Sedgwick County. Kudos to all who stood in line for hours.
Surely Gov. Sam Brownback can find enough money in KDOT or KPERS to afford a primary election.
Brownback’s “European” pheasant hunt mirrors the way he has governed. How many Kansans could afford $15,000 for two days of killing birds? Maybe 1 percent of Kansans. This peasant is rooting for the pheasants.
Kudos to the city and the park department and its forestry division for all the new trees planted in our parks. Let’s hope for sufficient rains to get them off to a good start.
I knew the Shox were going to be in trouble when I saw Ron Baker’s short haircut. Let it grow, Ron.
