Opinion Line Extra (March 7)

When I visualize a tough guy, New York City steelworkers are always right up there. After watching rugby, I have added those players to the list. I got three bruises and I was just watching them on TV.

Something needs to be done about those bozos in the Far East who buy rhino horns and elephant tusks.

One thing you can be sure of: If Hillary Clinton gets elected, she is going to make sure that she gets paid.

“What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.” This is how we can trap Donald Trump. He will never escape. We will be free, guys.

The sad thing about this election is that Trump thinks it is a pro wrestling match – a lot of noise, bluster, body slams and faking – and that, as with wrestling, many voters are fooled into thinking it’s real.

I don’t care anymore. It couldn’t get any worse and it’s not going to get better, no matter which one of these people we elect. The only thing the election does is to provide job security for the “fourth estate.”

Just because there is “corporate greed” and our tax system needs to be overhauled is no excuse to vote socialist. If you vote for socialism, you are no American.

I remember when the Republicans stated the Democratic Party was dead, but I think they had that wrong. Looks as if it could be the other way.

We now have emphatic confirmation of who’s not paying for “the fence.” The first campaign promise down the drain. The pope didn’t like it either.

Rep. Brett Hildebrand called the federal government “the authoritarian, micromanaging leviathan.” He should look in the mirror, as legislators and the governor are doing the same thing to all cities and counties in Kansas. Tell me the difference.

The height of immorality – the legislators taking $50,000 in public funds to pay their own private attorneys for their sins committed on school finance. Kansans: It’s time we took steps to impeach this egomaniac we have in the governor’s mansion.

I remember that when I lived in Nazi Germany, judges would not allow a citizen to check voting machines for tampering.

Isn’t it amazing that Kansas legislators are suddenly doing all these “accommodative” things? Gee, I wonder if it has anything to do with wanting to get re-elected this year. And, of course, in Kansas a bone here and a scrap there will probably do the job.
