After Donald Trump becomes president, the U.S. Navy and its aircraft carriers will be back in business and ISIS will be running for their mouse holes.
We now see the ugly American. Is this who we really are?
Do we really need a president who shoots from the lip, has no respect for anyone other than himself and whose only real foreign relations have been at the altar?
Are a couple of old, tired hippies the best that the Democrats can offer as candidates for president? I’m waiting for them to come out on stage at a rally in tie-dye.
President Obama is dragging his own legacy and the middle class into the sewer.
Capitalism works fine until greed and lack of oversight cause another economic collapse.
Millennials may be the first generation less successful than their parents because we’ve made government a charity for the poor. Don’t any Democrats realize that deficit spending and the necessary higher taxes are making their children and grandchildren poorer?
Think how different our country would be if people had the same passion and fury for ensuring access to health care as they have for ensuring access to weapons.
The killer in Hesston could not legally own the guns he had. Additional gun laws do nothing but penalize law-abiding citizens, whereas the criminals laugh anytime a particular gun law is tightened up. Again, the good guy with the gun stopped the bad guy with the gun.
Gun laws don’t stop criminals from illegally obtaining firearms.
The taxpayers paying for welfare absolutely get to determine how that money can or can’t be spent. The feds do it to the states every day. If a state takes federal money, then as far as the feds are concerned, they own you.
Legislators strike again: They want to raise the highest vehicle registration fees in the region. Some people already get post office boxes in Oklahoma and other states and register their vehicles there. Fee increases will just push more money out of the state.
The bill creating a special category of foster parents is another backdoor way of taking public school funds and transferring them out of the school fund. It also sets up a situation where the children lose protection from mandated reporters of sexual abuse.
People are entitled to choose which school their children should attend. However, taxpayers should only pay for public education. If you want to send your children to a private, elitist institution, then you should pay. Taxes are meant to fund public services, not private ones.
The setup is as important as the punch line.
When all else fails, resort to the truth. It is easier to remember.
