Brownback’s approval rating very low but slightly improved
The only thing positive about Gov. Sam Brownback’s very low job-approval rating is that it isn’t quite as bad as it was a few months ago. A new statewide survey by the Docking Institute of Public Affairs at Fort Hays State University found that only 21 percent of Kansans were satisfied with Brownback’s job performance. That’s slightly better than last October, when Brownback’s approval rating was 18 percent. However, the number of Kansans who are “very dissatisfied” with Brownback’s performance increased from 48 percent last October to 53 percent in the current survey. President Obama’s approval rating among Kansans was 34 percent in the latest survey. – Phillip Brownlee
