Why does Obama attack law-abiding gun owners when a mass shooting is committed by someone who obtained a gun illegally?


The greatest threat to our personal security is not ISIS, gays or Syrian refugees. It’s angry American men with guns.


We were so impressed with Harvey County Sheriff T. Walton’s handling of the press conferences after the shootings. He was calm but not detached, and straightforward, factual and transparent without being sucked into conjecture by the reporters’ questions.


I call on The Eagle and all other media outlets to not use the shooter’s name. Do not give him the infamy.


I feel sorry for the people affected by the shooting in Hesston. But I feel like our local TV stations way overreacted.


Thursday night I sat back and tried to envision President Donald Trump, President Hillary Clinton or President Bernie Sanders. If that were to happen, God help us – if He sees fit to do so.


Eight months till the election and I am debated out. Enough.


I don’t understand how someone could watch the Republican presidential candidates hurl nasty, personal insults at one another for two hours and then say, “Yep, I’m proud to be a Republican.”


I am hoping Trump gets the nomination. I am a Democrat and I will vote for Trump. I’m thinking that will be the dagger through the heart of the GOP.


None of the current U.S. presidential candidates “grabs” me, nor many undecided voters. How do we promote Leon Panetta for U.S. president?


For Leonard Pitts Jr.’s information (Feb. 22 Opinion), the middle ground between pro-life and pro-choice is, and always has been, term baby delivery and adoption. Pro-choice women don’t want to be bothered with the middle ground.


Are legislators who are willing to raise the speed limit on non-interstate highways not smart enough to realize that people will now drive at 75 mph-plus because of the 70 mph limit? I suggest that law enforcement strictly enforce an allowance only of 3 mph over the limit.
