The socialism ideology works fine until you run out of other people’s money.

There is something wrong when executives make more money in the time it takes them to go to the restroom than their front-line employees make in a year, and someone making $50,000 a year pays a higher tax rate than someone making millions from investments. Bernie Sanders has my support.

People say they want compromise to get something done in our political arena. Maybe some people are being elected to keep things from being done, such as increasing the $19 trillion debt.

Donald Trump is the World Wrestling Entertainment wrestler of the political scene. He attracts the same true believers.

Now that Trump has added the pope to his attack list, the Secret Service may want to increase Trump’s security by having lightning rods sewn into his suits.

The pope needs to address the problem of Muslims slaughtering Christians instead of sticking his nose in American politics.

I look forward to our next Democratic president, who will put Obama on the Supreme Court. Take that, you obstructionist, divisive Republicans.

If there was any doubt that the GOP is full of obstructionists and suffers from Obama Derangement Syndrome, the rhetoric over the Supreme Court appointment is absolute proof. The people did speak, in 2012.

There is a short-term project the governor and state legislators should be considering: Where in Kansas will we find caves to live in when they drive the state back into the stone age?

Our beloved governor is pushing for additional funding for our state’s mental hospitals. With his fiscal policies and the Legislature’s heavy-handed treatment of our children’s education, mental health is obviously a big concern.

Frederick Douglass said, “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.” The governor and Legislature should remember these sage words. Spend money now to strengthen our public schools or pay much more to fix people later.

Why are all these evolution-believing idiots worried about global warming or anything else? It’s just evolution happening, right?

It is quite a scheme that allows the government to raise your property taxes via the believed value of your property, with no questions or proof. Actual individual assessments should be required, with someone responsible.

The Wichita Police Department needs to use civilian employees to investigate traffic accidents. This will free up police officers to fight crimes and do more traffic enforcement. The city can always find civilians to fill jobs.
