The least Republicans could do was wait until Justice Antonin Scalia’s remains were cold before talking about blocking any nomination President Obama puts forth. Shame.


Obama said it is his constitutional duty to nominate Scalia’s replacement. I am shocked. Seven years into his tenure, I was not aware that he even knew we had a Constitution.


Gov. Sam Brownback said Scalia understood the concept of judicial restraint. I remember Scalia as one of the activist judges who circumvented the election laws of Florida to put in power the worst president in modern history.


I’m good with allowing the next president to pick the new member of the Supreme Court. Hillary Clinton will make a good choice, and successive choices.


Will “the Donald” mount one of his giant Trump signs atop the White House if he wins?


Marco Rubio is correct. Obama knows exactly what he is doing. Our financial destruction is his plan.


Why is it when Democrats rail about income inequality, they never mention the sports and entertainment industries?


A simple solution to the school finance argument in Topeka is a constitutional amendment to remove any responsibility for education from the state. If each local entity were solely responsible for its schools, we would see a vast improvement.


The 11,000 people mostly ages 35-54 migrating out of Wichita left precisely because of the “low-cost” wages and “favorable tax situations” that Sedgwick County Commission Chairman Jim Howell touts as reasons Wichita is a great place to live. The lowly taxpaying individual is fed up.


This is just a wild guess, but maybe the reason for so few people using the new bike lanes is that this is February and this is Kansas.


Too bad Dondlinger Construction can’t spend a few bucks from the nearly $70 million it’s receiving for the new Southeast High School to clean up the trash it is allowing to blow all over the neighborhood.


My wife and I have an agreement. We don’t acknowledge Valentine’s Day, with its overpriced flowers and stuffed animals. I just surprise her with flowers on random days of the year because I love her year-round.
