Turning the White House into an old folks home isn’t healthy for anyone.
Hillary Clinton vows to take her campaign “to the entire country.” Hillary, please don’t come to this part of the country. Please go away. Take your campaign to some other country.
I see that the Jeb Bush supporters say he will “keep us safe” as president. I am sure he will do exactly what his brother did at that task – fail miserably.
All these college students are voting for Bernie Sanders to get free tuition. Just how does he propose to pay for all of this? Give me a break.
Bernie Sanders won 60 percent of the vote in New Hampshire, but Hillary Clinton received more delegates. Sanders says the system is rigged. He is right. It starts with the Democratic Party. There is nothing democratic about the Democratic Party.
I see Hillary got an endorsement from the Congressional Black Caucus. Can you imagine the fuss if there were a Congressional White Caucus?
Libertarians in the Congress and state legislatures refuse to compromise. This causes gridlock, and government can’t get anything done. If less money were spent on school sports like out-of-town swim meets, teachers could receive a raise. Schools need to return to teaching core information such as math, reading, spelling and science.
Rep. Ron Ryckman and fellow legislators: How about we use the “flexibility” to delay your salaries, just like the pension payments? Don’t worry – we will pay it back with interest. Your money is safe. Just look at our state budget. Err – whoops.
It’s sad to say and I wish it were different, but I’m glad my Kansas-raised boy teaches in Missouri, because teachers in Kansas are the Rodney Dangerfields of education – they get no respect at all.
Thank you to The Eagle for the Daily Prayer. It is refreshing after the negative comments on Opinion Line. A great way to start my day.
Lexi Harris looked beautiful in the red dress she tried on at Dillard’s. A warm round of applause to Lexi and her mother for addressing the horrible comments made by the clerk (Feb. 6 Eagle).
I’m an 80-year-old woman. I accidentally left my apartment keys, phone and three rolls of quarters in a taxi. Thanks so much to Ayub and James at ABC Taxi-American Cab for finding and returning them. I was so amazed.
