The U.S. needs a president who will get the U.S. out of the United Nations. No more money to those who hate us.

Once you vote in a Third World government like socialism, it won’t be easy, if possible, to get the old USA back again.

Seems to me one of the biggest differences between the two main political parties is that one is offering war and the other is offering restraint. Which do you think is better?

Donald Trump skipped the final Iowa Republican debate because he wasn’t “treated properly” by Fox News. What will Trump do when the Chinese communists don’t treat him properly? Will he whine, then bad-mouth them on Twitter?

Desire yet another war? Want the economy to tank again? Willing to surrender even more of your right to privacy? Then by all means vote Republican again. They’re counting on your nonchalant ignorance.

There might not be so many awful killer mosquitoes around the world if DDT hadn’t been outlawed many years ago.

Still persecuting teachers and those on public assistance. Still trying to intimidate the state judiciary. Still abetting the closing of rural medical facilities. Still kowtowing to the gun crazies. Still taking from the state’s children to subsidize taxes on those most able to pay. The work of our Kansas Legislature.

One in three hospitals may close in Kansas due to refusal to expand Medicaid. Multiple schools may close in smaller communities because of consolidation. Yet our governor says he wants this to be the best state in the country to start a business and raise a family. Is this guy for real?

Fire hydrants are broken, streets flood in the same places year after year, some streets have not seen repair in 50 years, residents’ property is trashy for years – but we will get a new library and more bike lanes. No wonder Kansas always rates low in the 50 states.

I hope that the new Wichita police chief will concentrate more on traffic violators, such as those running red lights. Bring back the police motorcycle unit.

Repeal of capital punishment in Kansas is long overdue. Besides being morally wrong, it is inefficient and expensive.

Yes, the death penalty is revenge. It also assures they will never walk among us again. No, life sentences don’t mean the same is assured. Along comes a liberal judge or a natural disaster, escape, etc.

When will Obama decry the FBI shooting of a man in Burns, Ore., with his hands above his head? Where are the riots?

What’s the deal with getting tattoos over every inch of exposed skin? Have you nothing better to spend your time, money and energy on? Is your goal to look and be regarded as a freak? Or maybe they confer some magical powers? Grow up and join society.
