WSU needs football like Wichita needs another mattress store.
Once again I am denied seeing my hometown Shockers on TV because the powers that be sold out to Cox cable, granting exclusive rights. I can’t tell you how much I hate that.
WSU has a good basketball team. Now it’s time that the fans show some class by not booing at every foul that goes against their Shockers.
The cheap seats at the Super Bowl are $3,000. We, as taxpayers, pick up the tab for security costs. Isn’t that a great business?

Is there someone out there who will create a recall petition on Gov. Sam Brownback? I’d sign.
Republicans are so adamant that people take responsibility for their actions, it seems strange that our Republican Legislature and governor keep blaming other people for the monthly tax shortfalls. They should at least consider the possibility that they need to modify the tax code.
It appears as though Kansas legislators are dedicated to trying to pass every absurd and irrelevant bill possible before they get voted out of office in the fall.
This grandpa and grandpa are considering selling our farm from generations past to move to Colorado because marijuana helps our health so much. The only reason we haven’t gone yet is that our five kids and 13 grandkids all live nearby now.
The reason the death penalty isn’t a deterrent to murder is because it is not carried out with swiftness and zeal. If people see those who are unfit to live with the rest of us being put down like the rabid dogs they are, then perhaps they’ll get the message.
Over the years, I’ve come to the conclusion that American businesses succeed in spite of themselves.
The Kansas Star Casino has taken the last of my money. I’m joining Wichita friends at the casinos in Oklahoma. At least you can expect some payout there.
