Any City Council member who voted “no” on the new library, learning center, tech center and community event center must have given eight-tracks and VCRs for Christmas gifts. The Wichita community and kids need 21st-century knowledge and tools.

A $33 million homeless shelter, aka the new library. Nice.

Well, that is another $33 million tax dollars being wasted for a new library. What about more tax money for more police officers and firefighters? What about replacing all the old fire stations?

Anything I would want in the new $33 million library I already have on my $300 iPhone.

It’s very obvious that our City Council has always been opposed to maintaining existing assets. It has always preferred tossing the old and building new. I wonder how it will ever take care of our streets.

The new bike lanes are fine. Now, can we please synchronize the traffic lights downtown?

Obamacare was supposed to solve the problem of expensive health care and insurance. Of course it didn’t, because that was a canard. Obviously, more governmental interference isn’t the answer. More competition, not less with single-payer, is the answer.

Sen. Mary Pilcher-Cook was correct. I was forced to study plane geometry as a sophomore in high school. My brain is so warped that I don’t even think about it any more. The teacher should be prosecuted.

My wife ran naked through the bedroom with the light on and saw her shadow. We’ve had six years of bad weather.
