In November Rep. Tim Huelskamp, R-Fowler, allowed for the possibility of a challenge to Sen. Jerry Moran, R-Kan., in the 2016 GOP primary. The congressman ruled it out last week, though, telling CQ Roll Call: “Nope. My wife’s pretty clear on that.” But the one-term Moran could face other party members who think he’s insufficiently conservative, which is why Kansans may see Moran cast more votes like the ones last month with Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, opposing the $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill. – Rhonda Holman
