Opinion Line Extra (Jan. 25)

If you are saying you will vote for Hillary Clinton because she’s a woman, you’ve just identified yourself as a sexist.

Sarah Palin’s endorsement of Donald Trump was incoherent gobbledygook. If anyone needs a teleprompter, it is Palin. How could any world leader understand this airhead?

It about made my day to watch rude and malicious Donald Trump make nice to flaky Sarah Palin. Palin for Trump’s vice president? I really doubt that’s going to happen.

Truth be known, Donald Trump is just as surprised as everyone else about his numbers in the polls.

Gov. Sam Brownback now issues an executive order to not fund any refugees from any country. Is he really that paranoid? What a fraidy cat. I’d like to know what the Native Americans thought of his ancestors coming here.

Now Brownback wants to use the money from the children’s health insurance program to backfill the general fund he and the Legislature have wiped out. Our children’s health? Really? All you good, God-fearing Republicans should take a long look in the mirror.

Gun rights, as recognized by the NRA and other right-wingers, are only a white right. They are not a black right or a brown right. And they certainly are not a Muslim right. And don’t let anyone tell you differently.

Oil companies have injected produced water into the ground all over the world for decades without causing earthquakes. There may be something unusual about the geology in Oklahoma, or these faults may be reawakening after a long slumber.

I don’t know why scientists are still studying the issue. Associated Press reporters have decided that fracking is definitely causing earthquakes and Kansas has the answer on how to prevent earthquakes. If only we had known, we could have saved Haiti a lot of grief.

Wal-Mart is closing nine stores in Kansas, leaving some areas with no food stores. Competitive free enterprise made the U.S. great, but ongoing mergers and buyouts have now reduced most competition. Mega-corporations no longer care about “customer service” because buyers now have few or no choices.

I have not shopped at Wal-Mart for some time because of its unfair wage issues with employees. I agree with a Jan. 21 letter to the editor that people should boycott Wal-Mart for closing stores because they are not meeting corporate expectations.

I want to know which religious conservative complained about the Susan G. Komen Cards for the Cure event.

I don’t believe in atheists.

Since Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith and Spike Lee are not going to attend or watch the Oscars, I wonder if they are going to vote Republican since the Democrats don’t have any color on their ballot. For crying out loud, give it a rest.
