If you are so afraid of going to college that you think you need a handgun to protect yourself, perhaps you should just stay home.

Kansas Board of Regents schools, including WSU, continue to protest allowing guns on campus. Meanwhile, Shocker basketball games are sponsored by Thunderbird Tactical with ads during timeouts in the gun-free arena.

We don’t need to worry about terrorists poisoning our water supply when we have corrupt politicians who line their own pockets by cutting necessary health and safety measures and not caring who is hurt in the process. Michigan’s governor poisoned his own citizens.

The government of Michigan creates a nightmare (Flint’s drinking water), and the governor apologizes in his State of the State address. The government of Kansas creates a nightmare (tax cuts that produce a budget deficit), and the governor doesn’t even mention it in his State of the State address.

Columnist Leonard Pitts’ “Nikki Haley repeats old fairy tales about U.S. history” is only the beginning (Jan. 18 Opinion). Religion is based upon “old fairy tales,” too, and Pitts should write about that mythology.

Apparently the letters BMW on automobiles translate into “must go faster” and “weave in and out of traffic.”
