Scientists have uncovered remains from the earliest known massacre. It happened 10,000 years ago in what is now Kenya. We haven’t progressed very far in 10,000 years, have we?
Anyone who does not have the time to prove his legal eligibility to vote, and then personally register, clearly and unequivocally has no right to vote.
If it is legal to buy a skybox at Intrust Bank Arena and then scalp the tickets as a fundraiser, as Sen. Michael O’Donnell did, I would think a lot of area nonprofits would get interested in this scheme. So much easier than hosting fundraising events.

The column about Fred VanVleet and Ron Baker was so heartwarming on a cold morning (“Personalities fused by Shocker success,” Jan. 17 Sports). Thank you, Bob Lutz, and good luck, Shockers.
Maybe next season the Kansas basketball team should skip the trip to Oklahoma State and just play the Topeka YMCA instead.
