Yet another Kansas Supreme Court decision overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court. It is way past time to start weeding out our state justices who cannot properly interpret the law.

Even the U.S. Supreme Court’s liberal justices had to agree that the Kansas Supreme Court was wrong in overturning the death sentences of the Carr brothers and Sidney Gleason.

Wal-Mart is closing 269 stores. It is not a Kansas problem. Wal-Mart feels its smaller stores are not as profitable. Thank you, Gov. Sam Brownback and other conservatives, for trying to run a smaller government while raising education funds four years in a row.

Someone should compile a book of all the lame excuses of the Brownback administration – most recently for having no KanCare ombudsman for two years (nobody wants the job) and for doing no audit of alleged DCF discrimination against same-sex foster parents (it would be a distraction).

In 50 years of voting, this will be the first time I wish there was a “none of the above” slot. There is not a single candidate I would vote for.

The NCAA and some professional sports are switching their TV coverage to cable networks that require a subscription service. I will never watch a sports program that is not available on free TV. Greed triumphs again.

What is it about icy roads that brings the fools out?
