How would any kind of gun control keep criminals from getting guns? They will always be able to get one.
An argument of President Obama for more gun control is to protect children. He even cried thinking about it. So where are the tears for the millions of children murdered from abortions? Thank you, Iowa Rep. Steve King, for standing up for the rights of children.
The reason NRA leaders didn’t go to Obama’s gun meeting is because they would only have been allowed to ask one question, and the rest of the time they would have sat there and been unable to question Obama about anything he said.
Here is the Sedgwick County attitude: Most people are against guns on college campuses, then carrying otherwise. They vote “no casino in Sedgwick County,” and then drive to Mulvane in Sumner County to gamble.
Why is it that stories about Social Security running out of money are common in this and many other papers, yet you never hear anything about welfare running out of money?
The present fiscal problems facing the Kansas Legislature and the governor definitely fit into a saying my father told me 70 years ago: “There are none so blind as those who will not see.”
Gov. Sam Brownback’s State of the State address was a pathetic waste of time. It could have been given with four words: It’s all Obama’s fault.
Brownback and the “all his ducks in a row” Legislature are turning Kansas into one big Flint, Mich.
How sad it is that Kansas is financially bankrupt and our governor is morally bankrupt.
If ignorance is bliss, we must be the happiest state in the nation.
Why not put a cap on the governor’s retirement benefit based upon the state finances at the end of his or her term?
Donald Trump reminds me of Teddy Roosevelt the politician, a progressive Republican populist – liberal men, with just enough conservatism thrown in to be Republicans.
All these nitwits driving in the day with their lights on pointlessly in the rain must be Democrats. They love feel-good socialist practices that fly in the face of reason and the tiniest mote of intelligence – especially forcing stupidity on the rest of us.
Mike Pompeo, Pat Roberts and Sam Brownback had better run for the hills. “El Chapo” is coming to a U.S. prison Freak out! What if the “affluenza” teen is brought to the El Dorado prison? My gosh – pass a law quickly.
One reader is grateful for the mute button when the Prairie Band Casino “up,” “down,” “even” ad comes on. Muted or not, it’s clearly an effective ad – the annoyed reader knows what it’s for. That has to make the casino’s advertising people very happy.
