It must be tough being a conservative Republican these days – always standing your ground in opposition to President Obama only to find the ground you’re standing on is quicksand.
Democratic debates are so much more respectful and intelligent.
I had the chance to choose between watching “Finding Bigfoot” or the Democrats’ debate and decided fewer lies would be aired by the big hairy one.
What’s the difference between a socialist and a Democrat? Democrats actually believe there is a difference.
I am amused that New Yorkers were so offended by Ted Cruz’s remark about New York values, when New Yorkers have referred to the heartland as “flyover states” for years. Was that not meant in a negative way?
Kris Kobach was very vocal when it came to the birther issue and President Obama. Why is he being so quiet when it comes Donald Trump’s claim that Ted Cruz has a birther problem?
Looks like Wal-Mart didn’t subscribe to Gov. Sam Brownback’s mantra of the “sun is shining in Kansas,” as evidenced by its shuttering of nine stores.
Wal-Mart closing its Neighborhood Market at 13th and Oliver leaves a huge area without a food store, and QuikTrip’s closing could leave another boarded-up building to blight the neighborhood.
I do not understand the purpose of the Sunday Eagle article on Muslims (“In Wichita, Muslims find hate, support,” Jan. 17 Insight). I suggest Eagle staff read the Quran and spend a month or two in an Islamic country to witness how religious tolerance is practiced.
I used to enjoy Christopher Elliott’s Travel Troubleshooter column and how he boldly charged in to do the right thing for his readers. But lately it has been “You messed up, so sorry, can’t help you.”
Nothing says “family” like taking the kids to a bar to watch football.
The Denver Broncos are overrated and lucky. The New England Patriots are arrogant cheaters. I hope the shopping channel has something good on when they play.
We had a great start to the new year when a wonderful couple paid for our lunch at Cracker Barrel.
Good friends warm and comfort your soul.
