Troy Newman, president of Wichita-based Operation Rescue, is one of several anti-abortion activists being sued by Planned Parenthood over the recent hidden videos about the handling of fetal tissue. The lawsuit filed last week alleges that Newman and others violated the Racketeer Influence and Corrupt Organizations Act, engaging in wire fraud, mail fraud, invasion of privacy, illegal secret recording and trespassing, Associated Press reported. Though Gov. Sam Brownback claimed in his State of the State speech last week that Planned Parenthood trafficked in “baby body parts,” a Kansas State Board of Healing Arts investigation of Planned Parenthood facilities in Kansas – which Brownback had called for – cleared the clinics of wrongdoing. – Phillip Brownlee
