Who is it who thinks they should have called backup on the Eric Garner case? About a dozen police already there couldn’t subdue him. The mayor is the problem, enforcing tax collection on loose cigarettes.

Just what is white privilege? Is it the privilege whites, particularly males, have of working to support other Americans – disproportionately black and other minorities?

Always expect the opposite from what Obama tells us – as in Obamacare, where “affordable” is soon to be “non-affordable.”

It is amazing how the anti-Obama people cannot give him credit for playing an important role in bringing down our gas prices. Connected to that is the fact they cannot give him credit for our robust economy. Their problem is the color of his skin. I am Caucasian.

We should “appreciate Obama”? Are you on something? Or maybe you’re not on something. Whichever it is, you either need to take more or less of whatever it is you are or are not on, so you’ll stop the delusions and hallucinations.

The blood of any U.S. citizen killed by any of the Gitmo prisoners released by Obama or any of the border-crossing criminals he thinks he made legal will be on his hands for eternity.

I rarely agree with columnist Cal Thomas, but he hit the nail on the head squarely with “A nation interrupted?” (Dec. 31 Opinion).

These planes are either being blasted down by bad people or taken by aliens, which is unlikely. Either way, we need to go figure this out soon.

To the person who wants to know how much of the school budget goes toward sports: The answer is one-half of 1 percent. Most people aren’t aware that it is such a small percentage in the overall budget. Besides that, students pay to play.

Ohio State was supposed to be an easy pickoff for Alabama. TCU would have been too tough. The college playoff selection committee is probably wondering what went wrong and what’s that smell.

Once again Alabama and the SEC are overrated and TCU and the Big 12 are underrated. Clearly TCU should have been in the playoff representing the Big 12.

The snub of the Big 12 was even more obvious after TCU’s lopsided bowl victory and the rout by Oregon over Florida State. Baylor kind of choked in their bowl game, though, didn’t they? I guess this playoff system isn’t the perfect answer to determining a national champ either.
