Did it appear to anyone else that Speaker Paul Ryan was sitting on a corncob during the State of the Union speech?
Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton are soft on Muslim terrorism.
The refugee issue is not our problem. How about the Muslim countries in the Middle East and Africa practice what they preach and take in the refugees – where they’d be much more at home among those with a similar culture, language and religion?
I am looking forward to the first tell-all book titled, “I Was Donald Trump’s Hairdresser.”
Republicans complain about President Obama’s excessive use of executive orders. Trump would increase the use of executive orders. Be careful what you wish for.
My problem is I’m not sure Donald Trump believes everything Donald Trump is saying.
I was awakened by a loud noise. I thought Bill O’Reilly had dropped his ego, Trump his arrogance, Charles Krauthammer his smug demeanor or Sam Brownback his bag of lame excuses, or there was a fracking quake. Turns out my cat knocked something off the bookshelf.
The state of Kansas is broke, the schools are underfunded, and the roads are a disaster. So what did Gov. Sam Brownback stress in his State of the State address? Planned Parenthood and Guantanamo Bay. The guy is just clueless.
The Second Amendment applied to muzzle-loading blunderbusses for defending one’s home. The writers never even imagined the concealed, rapid-firing weapons we have today. The NRA needs to apply common sense.
Columnist Davis Merritt sure used a lot of words to say nothing other than that he was against guns on campus (“Real danger of guns on campus is unseen,” Jan. 12 Opinion).
The real danger is the liberal bias from our school faculty, not the freedom to carry a gun.
Aren’t these militia members insurgents? We fought a war to protect our republic in the 1860s. Shouldn’t we do so now?
What a sad representation of members of the entertainment industry that their vocabulary is so limited that their selection of words is not suitable for airing to TV viewers of the Golden Globes.
If Steve Harvey announced the Powerball numbers, we could all be winners.
