Opinion Line Extra (Jan. 12)
Wow. Kansas is only sixth in people leaving their state for someplace better. Come on, Brownback, promote your tax plan again and soon we’ll be No. 1.
Forget Medicaid expansion. Kansas is broke. And it’s broke because the people who run it want it to be broke, health care for the “able-bodied” be damned. Besides, who needs health care? The working poor only do all the work around here, and who’s going to get sick doing that?
I know how we can save the state some money. Put Brownback on merit pay. Let’s see – shall we start with revenue estimates compared with actual income?
I notice all the comments about refugees, ISIS, etc., preach to come together and not be divided. What they don’t do is offer any suggestions on how to fix the problems.
Our poor government is being ruined by a community organizer in his first real job, backed by a bunch of his appointed lackeys who aren’t old enough to shave.
I would much prefer to have someone in the White House who actually understands the Constitution, and that it is in place to protect the public from an overzealous government, as opposed to Obama, a “constitutional” law professor who consistently tries to reshape the Constitution through his illegal executive orders.
President Obama is without a doubt the best gun salesman in America.
I fully support the president’s executive order to enforce background checks on gun purchases. It’s just common sense, people.
The president claims he is just going to do a little bit to enhance gun control. I believe him as much as I did when he said that on Obamacare you can keep your doctor and insurance rates will go down. He is going to take us down a slippery slope.
If you believe our president says the truth, you are mistaken. He always has a liberal view, which is far from the truth.
I read an article containing the perfect descriptor for the looney-tune militiamen occupying the federal building up in Oregon. The word? Ammosexuals.
The poachers in Oregon are comparing themselves to Rosa Parks. I would say they are not noble, but are nothing more than homegrown terrorists.
People buy guns because they don’t trust the government.
Wichita State should get out of the MVC, as did Cincinnati, Houston, Louisville, Tulsa and Memphis. Of course, those schools play football, so any future better conference affiliation could be based on WSU bringing the sport back.
I recently went to the NewMarket Square Granite City for brunch with my daughters. The music was too loud. We asked if the music could be turned down. The problem was taken care of, and with a smile. We then had conversation at a ladylike volume.
