Just like when celebrities at award shows receive goodie bags worth thousands of dollars, the city is giving free parking at the airport to privileged people who can afford to pay. Typical.

I’m an entrepreneur, and I have yet to see the local entrepreneurial cheerleaders put their money where their mouths are.

It is unbelievable how many people don’t vote. That is how we get into trouble. Think of the countries where citizens risk their lives and travel great distances to try to vote.

Good for Rep. Mike Pompeo for standing with our military when they are confronted with an unlawful order from Obama to bring terrorists to Kansas.

Regarding “Can you be pro-Jesus and pro-gun?” (Jan. 3 Opinion): Saying that Jesus never resorted to violence is a lame defense of gun control. Until I can “disappear in their midst,” as Jesus did when threatened before his appointed time to die, I will carry a gun.

Please quit suggesting that because Jesus hung out with sinners, He condoned sin. Why is it some misinformed dudes have to wear their caps in restaurants while eating? It’s pretty tacky. And while this state is on a kick to conserve water, why do restaurants serve water in half-gallon glasses?

Thank you to the gentlemen who helped me up after I fell on the ice at Dillons at 37th and Woodlawn. Thanks also to the lady who works in the store. Happy New Year to all of you.
