Business financial fraud is minor compared with 44 state governments supporting gambling (Powerball). More confirmation that governments are corrupt.
Finally we have a scapegoat for our earthquakes – North Korea. Frack on, boys.
I was a farm kid, and a hunter until my late teens. One thing I’m sure of is that testosterone and semi-automatic weapons don’t mix well.
Please tell me, factually, what’s wrong with background checks for guns sold at gun shows and what’s wrong with denying guns to people on the no-fly list. Our Congress doesn’t have the guts to give up funding from the NRA. I guess the money is better than people’s lives.
I own a number of firearms I obtained after undergoing a background check. I can legally sell any firearm to anyone without keeping records or determining if the buyer is a criminal. I would do a great disservice to my fellow citizens by legally selling a firearm to a criminal.
We had terrorist-style attacks on this country and Obama wants more gun control. You will never disarm the thugs committing crimes in this country. You have to protect yourself. The police can’t be everywhere.
Those armed “patriots” in Oregon occupying federal property and guilty of unlawful activities against the government wouldn’t be so cocky if they lived in Saudi Arabia. They’d have been executed by firing squad or beheaded by now, as was recently done to troublemakers by the Saudi government.
When a group of angry, armed white people take over a federal building in Oregon, law enforcement keeps its distance. Yet when a group of angry, unarmed African-American people protest in a large city, law enforcement is out in full force with riot gear. Hmmm.
Maybe we should propose “merit pay” for our governor and state lawmakers. Based on their performance, we should be able to save some money.
Ted Cruz should run as a liberal Democrat. They don’t care about natural-born citizenship.
Rep. Mike Pompeo recently had comments in the Wall Street Journal that he wants the government to collect and hold more data on everyone for analysis. My, oh my, Pompeo has an insatiable drive to invade every American’s privacy.
Directly above an Eagle business article about a healthy, growing downtown was an article about outward migration of people in Kansas. Really? What’s wrong with this picture? Guess why we don’t believe most of what we see in the news.
Really, Gregg Marshall, you watched “The Bachelor,” while most other college coaches watched the No. 1 versus No. 2 matchup? Please don’t disrespect your sport, and show some class by not mentioning it to the media. Oops – too late.
Hopefully, Wichita voters will go to the polls this year and vote angry.
