I do not understand how Cleanthony Early was shot in New York City. Consecutive anti-gun mayors have vociferously fought to ban all guns in the city for years.

OK, Early got shot in the knee after leaving a strip club. The news media are all over this. First of all, not a good place to be if you value your reputation. Secondly, the news media need to be more selective on what they talk about so extensively.

Why have 1,600 rounds of ammunition, or more? Yes, the Second Amendment covers hunting and self-defense. But the primary reason for its existence is to have an armed populace ready to stand up to a tyrannical government. Why do you think leftists are so in favor of citizen disarmament?

In his normal way, the “affluenza” teen is fighting to stay in Mexico. Perfect. Let’s see – Mexican jail or U.S. jail? Leave him there. Maybe he now can start to learn that bad behavior has consequences. Happy New Year.

Nothing witty to say today. I just can’t believe we live in a society where made-up stuff like “affluenza” passes, instead of people sucking it up and taking responsibility for their mistakes.

Without funding, how would our judicial system prosecute criminals, issue orders for the protection of children in need of care, or give citizens their day in court? Our Kansas Supreme Court did its job by ending the anarchistic stupidity of the law destabilizing and defunding the courts.

Definition of “climate”: the average course or condition of the weather at a place usually over a period of years as exhibited by temperature, wind velocity and precipitation. So tell me what climate change is if not weather-related.

If you don’t believe a corporation should be using its enormous wealth to influence supposedly impartial conservative U.S. Supreme Court justices in an effort to subvert the “one man, one vote” principle, maybe you shouldn’t use the products and services of that corporation. Fair is fair, isn’t it?

The only thing wrong with deporting 100 people is that there should be several more zeros behind 100. Spend money on American children, American elderly, American education, not illegal immigrants.

If Obama’s agenda is supposed to make us happy, happy, happy, how come the number of employed in Wichita and their wages have gone down since 2010?

Want the father of your children to not be a deadbeat dad? Stop mating with deadbeats.

I guess all the people complaining about the weather forecast are suggesting that the weather people should have asked the most unreliable source, God.
