Gov. Sam Brownback and his legislator cronies had better run for the hills when Kansas’ embattled seniors find that medical expenses cannot be deducted on 2015 Kansas state tax returns.
Kansas is not the land of Oz, but the odd. Our laws are against the arts, science, green energy, food labeling, the poor, the handicapped, public schools and students, teachers and nonwhite people. State leaders also believe the solution to public safety is to have everyone carry a gun.
I really wish I had been born a hundred years ago. Maybe I could have done something to prevent the beginning of the demise of our country. Open your eyes to what this country has become. It’s all politicians, not one side or the other.

County Commissioners Dave Unruh and Richard Ranzau are right about the countywide sales tax (Dec. 31 Opinion). If we continue as we are now, the world will have complete climate change and become unlivable. Nothing the government does about anything will make any difference.
I am surprised. I never heard the president blame climate change for the San Bernardino shootings.
Regarding “Two former Kansas prisoners try to make up for lost time” (Dec. 20 Eagle): Thank you, Tisa Micheaux, for sharing your story, and that your former drug addiction is a healing process for you and your family. With God all things can be forgiven and healed.
