Donald Trump says what a lot of people think, but a lot of people should not be president.
A Washington Post political cartoon depicted Sen. Ted Cruz as an organ grinder and his two young daughters as baby monkeys. Cruz is Hispanic. This cartoon is hate speech and should be treated as such.
Apparently the oath of office only lasts as long as the swearing-in ceremony. Mike Pompeo’s letter to the Joint Chiefs of Staff suggesting the military not obey President Obama’s order on closing Gitmo is inciting mutiny. That once would have been a “walk the plank” offense.
Obama already broke the law once by not telling Congress about the five terrorists he set free in the Bowe Bergdahl swap. No president is above the law, and Pompeo is right to support our military leaders in upholding their oaths.
We never had to defend the mainland in World Wars I and II because we were never attacked. We are being and will be attacked by ISIS on our shores from infiltration. The days of keeping conflict outside our borders are over.
Republicans’ process: Argue for smaller government, because it can’t get anything done right. Cut taxes without cutting the budget, hamstringing any chance at success. Sabotage further progress by refusing to compromise. Finally, stand back and say, “See? Government can’t do anything.” Lather, rinse, repeat.
The fad of kids getting iPads and adults getting coloring books for Christmas is a socialist “dummying down” ploy.
Once again someone has used a car to attempt mass murder in this country, this time in Vegas. We have got to ban semi-automatic transmissions and high-capacity gas tanks. We also need more commonsense car safety laws.
People who think they are going to be a savior because they carry a gun are the same people who think “Star Wars” is real.
State Rep. John Rubin wants to take money from education for public safety. Does he mean the same illegal school underfunding being judicially decided by the Kansas Supreme Court, which the governor in turn tried to defund because of negative court decisions?
It is bad enough that I know where all the McDonald’s are on my road trips, but now the dog does, too. He gives a whole new meaning to “Big Mac attack.”
