There seem to be a large number of unsolved crimes in the city, many even on video. Will a new police chief make a difference?

The Second Amendment talks about the right to bear arms, but it doesn’t say which. It doesn’t say specifically you are guaranteed to have guns. How would the United States be different if there were no guns but everyone had a lightsaber?

Wishing you peace for the season, not a piece in the school.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled a few years ago that the word “militia” as used in the Second Amendment means every individual citizen. Therefore the constitutional meaning is undeniably: Well-regulated citizens have the right to keep and bear arms.

The only difference between former House Speaker John Boehner and current Speaker Paul Ryan is that so far Ryan doesn’t cry as much. Other than that, he is just another disappointing Obama lapdog.

Our military leaders swear an oath to the Constitution, not the president. Rep. Mike Pompeo is right to back up our military leaders to ensure they are following lawful orders, not breaking laws Obama himself signed.

Are any of you people ever going to realize that there is no difference between Republicans and Democrats? They enact the same policies and take orders from the root of evil.

Capitalism built the middle class. Socialism is collapsing it. Capitalism hasn’t changed. Real wages are down, poverty up, labor participation rates near record lows, and economic growth is mediocre as socialism has an ever greater stranglehold on America.

I would like to see the religious right quit trying to relive the turmoil of the Old Testament and start living the loving words as told by Jesus in the New Testament.

Whose wallet do our state politicians have their fingers in to support charter schools at taxpayers’ expense? Only shareholders and administrators profit from charter schools. The people who pulled this country up after World War II were public school graduates who went to college on the GI Bill.

I would like to know how Visit Wichita figures the Garth Brooks concerts drew $6.4 million extra in Wichita. Just because businesses were crowded does not mean the customers were spending money. I don’t tell anybody what kind of a profit my business makes.

I will continue to drive the speed limit, or 3 to 4 mph over, on Kellogg and K-96 regardless of the lane I’m in or however close you want to tailgate. If I’m not driving up to your NASCAR standards, change lanes and speed on down the road.

People drive in the rain during the day with their lights on because it is the law. It is not so you can see, but so that you can be seen. I’m pretty sure the people who do it are not the idiots.
