Instead of wearing the “I can’t breathe” T-shirts, celebrities should be wearing “He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother” shirts. We are all in this together. United we stand. Divided we fall.
So Al Sharpton has been to the White House at least 35 times as an adviser and owes millions in back taxes. Nice role model.
Why have I never seen pictures of Japanese or German prisoners of war held by their American counterparts? American propaganda?
It looks to me like the people in any political party and all levels of government who are supposed to be representing us instead do not. They adjust, change or flip-flop their position on any given issue to pick the stand that will get them elected.
One letter writer wrote in regard to opening trade with Cuba that we shouldn’t “do business with communist dictators at home or abroad” (Dec. 26 Letters to the Editor). Has that writer noticed that 90 percent of what he buys comes from China?
Candidates for Wichita mayor and City Council positions: Please study the 2015 city budget very thoroughly before the elections, so you can decide what programs to increase and which ones to cut.
When the illegals who are invading our country go to get their permit to drive, that is a good time to deport them. Problem solved. These people are too much of a burden on our community. They are costing us a bunch of money.
Afghanistan – chalk up another loss for the U.S. Thanks again to Obama. How soon will we hear him apologizing to the world for this one?
If you do not appreciate President Obama as much as I do after thoughtfully listening to his words and viewing his actions, I am sorry that you are not in tune with a great man.
The egotistical handling of guns with a revenge mentality is our problem. It has never been the guns. We have mental problems and relationship problems. That is what we should talk about.
Loud commercials are not the problem. The problem is that shows and movies are produced with low voice volume and high music volume that drowns out the voice. You have to turn the volume up to hear voices. When the commercial comes on, it appears everyone is screaming.
As I get older, I find that many of the TV ads are really stupid. It’s too bad someone has not found a way to mute them automatically when they come on. Anyone know how to do this?
I think the WSU games should be shown in their entirety. When another game runs overtime, instead of the viewers missing the first 10-15 minutes of the game, they could delay the broadcast so we could see the whole game from start to finish.
