The citizens of Berkeley, Mo., apparently think their police officer should have said, “Dude, there was an armed robbery at a nearby store, so why don’t you put away your gun so we can talk about what you may know?”
A teenager gets killed while pointing a gun at a law enforcement officer and protesters come out in droves. The next time you protesters need help, don’t waste your time calling 911. Call Al Sharpton or Eric Holder at the White House, or you might try practicing respect and abiding the law.
“To protect and serve” – the vast majority of officers live by this dictate. Others, no matter how minor the offense, tend to elevate their role in every apprehension to judge, jury and executioner even though society believes it’s better the guilty go free than the innocent be unjustly punished.

Oil prices are too low. Time to put another Bush in the White Hhouse to get us into another war in the Middle East.
Gov. Sam Brownback had better start making a long list of people to blame for a poor Kansas economy.
If Jesus were on Earth today he would definitely be a Democrat.
I bet Obama wishes he had a pipeline to transfer all the coal he received Christmas morning.
When the recruiting commercials say at the end “Paid for by the U.S. Army” or whatever, they are being disingenuous. These commercials are paid for with tax dollars.
