Good for Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., and a House subcommittee led by Rep. Mike Coffman, R-Colo., for responding quickly to allegations involving an unnamed surgeon at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center. The University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita removed surgical trainees from a service involving the surgeon last week – a move intended to protect the integrity of the learning environment and program.
