One man shouts, “I don’t want you in my neighborhood!” Ten thousand people shout, “Death to America!” Which worries you?
The immigrants who came to the U.S. from the part of Syria known as Lebanon in the early 1900s were Christians. While embracing their heritage, they fully assimilated into the culture, learned English and became citizens. You can’t say that for most immigrants today.
The Republican representatives all need to get behind Donald Trump and support him. The public is tired of mealymouthed wimps.
There is only one reason Trump has made his outrageous statements about Muslims: Ted Cruz, who is creeping up on Trump in Iowa polls. Trump is a megalomaniac and damages the GOP with his bombastic demagoguery.
Hey, Donald Trump – don’t call Bill Gates. If you want to shut down the Internet, call Al Gore. He invented it and he has a big on/off button. Everyone knows that.
Could the USA steal Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to be our president, too? Taxing legal marijuana and a sensible income tax system show this young man will give world politics a positive, fresh perspective for the 21st century of what today’s middle-class citizens want.
I remember reading in the 1990s about how Honda wanted one-half of the company’s revenue to come from the sales of HondaJets. It has started. Are its competitors ready?
Rep. Mike Pompeo’s vote on the Export-Import Bank was fine. The real slap in the face was from Boeing, when it did the divestiture and then left town after 87 years. Just check the Wichita economy since 2005, when the divestiture occurred.
Isn’t Pompeo just the best buddy the oil and gas industry has in these parts? No doubt he has a high-paid lobbying job in his future – after he’s tried to thwart any useful action to modify climate change.
How many concussions and how much brain trauma – not his own, of course – is WSU president John Bardo willing to risk just to lure in money from influential alumni by bringing back football?
The Wichita community will not support any team that isn’t successful. WSU has taken away parking for the stadium, for dorms, and has no space to build a new facility. It can’t be done on campus.
I have the same question about Gary Kleypas as I do about the Carr brothers. Why is he still alive?
The construction work at 21st Street and Oliver has been a fiasco.
