Opinion Line Extra (Dec. 7)

I’m not going to believe in or worry about “global warming” until it starts killing off the zombies.


Everything that comes out of our government now is climate change. How about when you bureaucrats are doing your own function up to par, then you can explore ways to waste time on climate change? Until then, shut up and get back to the miserable mess you have already created.


If Donald Trump should become president, get ready for reinstatement of the draft. Such a large number of our military personnel will be used as cannon fodder in useless, ego-driven wars that a volunteer military won’t suffice. All of the tough-talking draft dodgers had better get ready.


Obama is pondering his legacy? What legacy, except failure after failure?


Where is Michelle Obama? She has been out of the news for several weeks.


Why are Syrian refugees even our problem? Would it not be better for everyone if other Muslim countries took them in? Is the best option truly to cross the Atlantic Ocean and come to a country where the culture is basically alien?


Could some pro-gun person please explain why anyone should be able to purchase 1,600 rounds of ammunition? You are a lousy hunter or self-protector if it takes that many shots to hit your target, and clearly shouldn’t have a gun.


All I want for Christmas is a bulletproof vest to stop gun addicts and their weird thinking.


Every one of those poor people shot in Paris had been deprived of their right of self-defense. We have the Second Amendment, but unfortunately for Californians, they too have been deprived of their right to defend themselves by a state that refuses to follow the Supreme Court ruling.


Wasn’t the guy who killed George Tiller radicalized by radical Christianity? What about the Planned Parenthood shooter? Wasn’t he radicalized by radical Christianity?


Since our government can’t solve the ISIS problem, and dictates how our military responds to ISIS, would the super-wealthy 1 percent please call a meeting and get something done?


Now that Wichita realizes the economy here is worse than terrible, they put together three economic development teams to fix it. We have continued to lose employers and people relocating elsewhere. Losing companies like Boeing and replacing them with call center jobs is not going to attract or retain people.


Seismologists have determined that what you felt the other morning was not an earthquake. After further study, they found that it was nothing more than Wichita State falling from the polls.


Why do football referees allow a group of offensive and defensive players to fight it out in the end zone on the last play of the game in an attempt to catch the winning pass, and pass interference isn’t called?
