Opinion Line (Dec. 20)
What has happened to America that some two-bit megalomaniac from North Korea gets to tell us what movies we can and cannot see? Have we become such a nation of wimps that we are going to roll over for this treatment? Tell me when and where the movie is showing and I’ll go.
The fact that North Korea could extort Sony into canceling a movie’s release demonstrates how weak our politicians have allowed our country to become. As an American, I am embarrassed and angry.
How many of those expressing radically aggressive views and criticizing movie theaters and Sony for not showing or releasing “The Interview” have ever served in the military or are willing to serve? Holding a sign in a parade or making comments on social media does not make you a patriot.
Sony should give a digital version of “The Interview” to WikiLeaks. Then everybody in the world could see it.
Could someone give me the movie line number to North Korea so I can know the movies playing here?
Last week we were told how awful we are for roughly asking questions of enemy soldiers. This week Obama says we are going to be friends with a communist country that tortures anyone including civilians. Welcome to Obamaworld.
Jimmy Carter and Obama never met a dictator they didn’t like.
If a President Romney normalized relations with Cuba as President Obama has done, Republicans would hail it as the greatest diplomatic victory in the history of the United States.
Would someone please explain how Democrats can spend $40 million on a report that is mostly bogus and serves no purpose, other than to try to make the previous administration look bad? I guess they’ll do anything to distract the public from seeing how corrupt and inept this administration is.
It’s hardly news that Sen. Mitch McConnell wants to stop coal-burning regulation. He represents a coal-producing state. He doesn’t care if the rest of the U.S. has air pollution like Bejing’s. As long as the dollars roll into his state, we can all poison ourselves.
The Koch family just pledged $11.25 million to WSU. Guess they aren’t as bad as the liberals would like us to think.
Those awful old Kochs, giving money away again.
Say what you want about Shocker basketball, but their fans are the absolute best at booing any questionable call.
If you are anti-Christmas, please notice the mistletoe attached to my belt on my backside.
I hear voices. The only voice I listen to is the voice of reason – my wife.
