I wasn’t aware that the snowflake was such an important Christian icon. If you are a serious Christian, then you know this whole Starbucks cup thing is complete and utter nonsense.
I ain’t buyin’ no coffee nowhere unless they have a picture of Jesus on the cup. And if English was good enough for Jesus, it’s good enough for me. Amen.
It definitely does not create an atmosphere of respect for the WSU student body when their president plans a disruptive and embarrassing protest with demands that the university president kowtow to a minority’s opinion concerning five concerns the university has already addressed. The student body deserves better.
The problem is there is some subversion we like, and some subversion we don’t approve of.
Bigot: a narrow-minded person who is intolerant of other creeds, opinions, races. This would seem to include our county commissioners, congressional representatives and about 56 percent of the population (from polls regarding the Syrian refugee issue). For a heretofore great nation, it’s shameful.
By turning away war refugees, Sam Brownback has basically surrendered to ISIS. Brownback and the other governors are doing exactly what ISIS hoped they would do.
We have homeless veterans living on the streets. We have millions of illegals already in this country. Your president wants to bring in thousands of Syrian refugees. Who do you think is going to pay for this? It’s not just a question of our safety. It’s a question of national security.
Obama is criticizing those who would put a temporary halt to immigration into the U.S. by Syrian refugees. But Obama is the one who put these Syrians in this position. He stood by as they were gassed and murdered, and now he has the nerve to blame others for their concern for the safety of U.S. citizens.
The escapees of Syria are the front-line recipients of ISIL terrorism. Which of you would put your own children at high risk of death in order to escape intolerable conditions? If we slam the door in their faces because we’re afraid, ISIL wins. They’ve caused us to betray our own beliefs.
I am not sure this country can survive another year of Obama. We are $18 trillion in debt and cannot take care of the people we have here now. How are we going to take care of Syrian refugees, some of whom may want to destroy us?
Ironically, it’s OK for the president to vet people according to their political affiliation, but not for the Republicans to want to properly vet foreigners before entry into the country.
I saw Jeb Bush ranting about Syrian refugees. I am sure he will keep us just as safe as his brother did. Probably no more than 3,000 dead due to Republican negligence.
