I heard a person make a disparaging remark about my receding hairline. I demand that someone be fired.


Most of the college protesters we have seen recently are the same kids who were given “participation trophies” in grade school, junior high and high school. This is what you get with feel-good policies.


The residents of Sedgwick County and Kansas are represented by many people who are unreasonable, incompetent, ignorant or all three. And whose fault is that? The residents of Sedgwick County and Kansas, a majority of whom continue to vote for these people or don’t bother to vote.


To the people who voted for Sam Brownback: I do not want to hear from you about how bad President Obama is. Can we impeach Brownback? He has been a failure.


The Russians have done more to fight ISIS in Syria and Iraq in their first 30 days in country than Obama has done in the past 18 months.


Obama is rolling out the red carpet for jihad on U.S. soil. I am sure when it happens he will lay flowers at the site of the bloodshed, and maybe force a fake tear. The Obama lovers will think he is an even better president. Of course, they are brain-dead.


So, 129 people are killed in France, and the whole world flips out and Congress goes nuts. But 11,000 people are murdered by guns in America each year, and nothing happens. The NRA defends this. Is it a terrorist organization?


Which is the worse culprit: the corporate greed that forces employees to work on what should be a holiday like Thanksgiving, or the self-centered shoppers who vindicate those businesses being open by shopping on what should be a holiday? It isn’t a holiday anymore, thanks to both.


Social Security is a socialist abomination that should never have passed, and will forever mar FDR’s presidency. It is a scam, the very definition of a Ponzi scheme. Give those who’ve paid into it their money back, and then abolish it.


Gasoline prices change more often than the Kansas weather.


I am enjoying the new format for the amusements pages. The Universal Crossword is a much better challenge, and thanks for moving it up. I’m a big “Bizarro” fan and like Word Game. Eugenia Last’s horoscopes are sage advice.


By solving the Cryptoquip, we got a nice little pun every day. The Celebrity Cipher solution feels more like pun-ishment to me.
