United Way campaign will make a difference

It’s disappointing that the United Way of the Plains missed its fundraising goal this year, finishing $700,000 short of its $15 million target. That could mean funding cuts to agencies and programs serving the Wichita area. Still, the $14.3 million that was raised will make an important difference in the lives of many.
