I totally support our governor’s decision to deny acceptance of any of the Syrian refugees into our state of Kansas. America already has enough homegrown Islamic extremists.
An American citizen walked into an American grade school and killed 20 children and six teachers. What is the Republican response? Ban Syrian war refugees.
Gov. Sam Brownback doesn’t want highly vetted Syrian refugees who are escaping terrorism. It doesn’t surprise me. He has no mercy for his own people either, rejecting free Medicaid money to help the least of these. I’ll bet a bunch of churches would open their doors to the refugees.
Brownback said he voiced his concerns on Syrian refugees with the president and was ignored. I would say Brownback now feels like the people who voice their concerns to him when he ignores them.
As The Eagle editorial board said, refugees are being treated like terrorists by governors including Brownback. What should we expect from him? He will say anything to increase his popularity, but he doesn’t realize what a poor job he is doing. Time is running out, governor.
We Kansans are just like a bunch of sheep standing around with our heads down, or a bunch of chickens happy for the scraps tossed our way. All while our legislators set up lucrative raises and pensions for themselves. What a lazy, disgusting bunch of Kansas citizens we are.
The problem with the president’s advisers is that they were not chosen for their expertise in their respective fields, but for their ideological purity and willingness to spout the radical leftist line and cover for President Worthless.
On one hand we’ve got college kids protesting in the name of increased diversity on campus. On the other we’ve got tens of thousands of Syrian refugees wanting asylum who may or may not have ISIS members hiding among them. Doesn’t the answer to both problems seem obvious?
Europe’s “free stuff” isn’t free. They have a value-added tax on almost everything, and everyone pays a high rate of taxes.
Stop saying that slavery is only part of the history of the Civil War, and that there are other reasons to fly the Confederate flag. Would you say the Nazis exterminating the Jews during World War II is a side note, and fly a swastika?
Thank heaven for columnist Leonard Pitts for telling it like it is. People who criticize him for “stirring the pot” are those who keep their heads buried in the sand and don’t want to face the truth of what is still happening today.
To the person who does not like heavily tinted windows: The windows in my truck are heavily tinted to keep my truck cooler, especially in the summer, and to keep people like you from looking into places where you don’t belong.
