I don’t know who trained Donald Trump on politics, but they succeeded (promises, promises). I’m tired of hearing about his money. His wealth will not not solve our world problems. He sounds like a dictator.
I have said this before. I guess we need a reminder. Racism and religion have a lot in common. They are both ignorance and superstition passed on from generation to generation.
I hear illegals left their families and countries to come here seeking a better life. Now the politicians say we don’t want to round up the illegals and send them back, as we would be separating families. To me, it looks like we would be reuniting families if they returned home.
Former Mexican President Vicente Fox’s visit to Wichita was a good sign of us working together. Eventually, they will work and pay taxes in America, which would give hope to future generations of having Social Security, too.
To a student railing against Chick-fil-A being on the WSU campus because of the owner’s beliefs: Look up the definition of “diversity,” which includes differing thoughts, opinions and ideas held by different peoples.
Is this democracy in Kansas? Three highly qualified moderates voice their opinion and are suddenly transferred to committees where they can cause no trouble to Gov. Sam Brownback and the speaker of the House. This administration is becoming more of a dictatorship on a daily basis.
Destroy Kansas: Mission accomplished. Now they get their pay raise.
Since the allowance is a per diem, most of the legislators are paying no income tax on it. They should be held accountable with receipts, etc., and any surplus should be taxed accordingly. Aside from that, the whole raise is absurd.
It amazes me how certain TV stations refuse to correctly pronounce Father Kapaun’s name. How disrespectful.
Why don’t we give The Wichita Eagle its sainthood and change the name to The Kapaun Eagle? Front page again? Enough already.
A New York newspaper ran the headline “Amazin’ Disgrace” after the 2015 World Series. The Eagle would never do that if one of our area teams had a meltdown like the Mets did. And the coasts consider middle America “flyover” states. I think we could teach them some class.
When you see some automobile dealers making complete idiots of themselves by doing weird and crazy TV ads, you really have to doubt that they are acting.
The new recliner seats coming to the Warren Theatre will just make for better sleeping.
I’ve always been a fan of rock and roll, and despised country-western songs. However, after having watched the CMA Awards, I found a legitimate reason to switch to country-western. Kanye West does not attend or perform at country-western functions.
