Opinion Line (Dec. 15)
It is clear that a political agenda is at work behind all this manufactured outrage across the country. Things are not as bad as some would like you to believe.
All that is necessary for the forces of evil to win in the world is for enough good women to do nothing.
When will the Obama haters realize that he is not trying to destroy the country, but that everything he has ever done is to simply help people? Oh, yeah – they don’t get the concept of helping people.
William and Kate are role models. The Obamas can’t even ride in the same plane. The royals came to visit America and visited charities for children and young people. They care about people. Barack Obama cares about rich basketball and golf players.
Regarding torture: George W. Bush was too ignorant to know better, Dick Cheney was too evil to care, and the American public was and still is too cowardly to stop it. Bush and Cheney should be charged with war crimes, and Americans should hang their heads low.
Why is it OK for citizens to be tortured by Obamacare but not OK to torture captured terrorists?
If Congress wants to further inflame the public with a torture report, have it approve a report about the disabled and disfigured veterans who will suffer torture daily for the rest of their lives from two wars.
Somebody finally admitted that torture doesn’t produce results. Now, if we can just get somebody to admit the same thing about tax cuts, America will be smack dab in the middle of the 21st century.
The ultimate hypocrisy: A man who receives $100,000 plus government retirement robs retirement funds from state employees.
Despite the obvious facts in the campaign, Gov. Sam Brownback said there was not a looming budget crisis and the sun was shining in Kansas. Maybe he didn’t see it coming because the sun was in his eyes.
It’s a good thing the sun is always shining in Kansas. The best qualified teachers are going to need all that light to travel to other states.
Ahh, Kansas – the tire and alignment state.
I would suggest Brownback stick to the state’s shortfall instead of fretting about a Governor’s Cup for basketball. Priorities, please.
Let me guess – hundreds of millions need to be cut from the budget, but Southwest Airlines will still receive its welfare check for millions from the state.
Why is the NFL’s Roger Goodell still employed?
