Sedgwick County still trails on health ranking

Sedgwick County’s health ranking improved slightly, but it still was almost in the bottom third of Kansas counties, according to data compiled by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin. Sedgwick County had the 63rd best health outcomes of 101 Kansas counties rated, up from 69th last year. The county was 18th best for clinical care, but it was 94th best for socioeconomic factors such as crime and poverty, and 86th best for physical environment such as the quality of air, water and housing. Johnson County was rated best overall and Wyandotte was worst. – Phillip Brownlee
