More online insults from Brownback staffers

The Brownback administration needs to rein in its staff members. Angela de Rocha, spokeswoman for the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services, is taking heat for the insulting comments she frequently posts on social media during office hours. Her most recent comments were about not wanting “slow learners” to vote – an insult aimed at college students and the League of Women Voters that also upset advocates for disabled Kansans, whom her agency serves. Melika Willoughby, Gov. Sam Brownback’s deputy director of communications, regularly insults constituents in newsletters she writes on behalf of Brownback. Budget and Kansas Department of Revenue officials also spend work time arguing with people on social media. Don’t they have anything better to do? – Phillip Brownlee
