Opinion Line (Nov. 28)
Republicans invited Obama’s executive action on illegal immigrants by not reacting to his previous action on “Dreamers” and by taking impeachment and government shutdowns off the response table.
Obama: “Come out of the shadows,” so we can tax you.
Illegal immigrants should refuse to apply under Obama’s new rules. The next president will reverse all of this because voters will demand it. My bet is Hillary Clinton will run on it.
If the president can make or change law with executive orders, why do we need Congress? Think of the money we could save if we had no representatives or senators and their staffs.
A report out on Benghazi for the umpteenth time. When are the Republicans going to accept the truth and stop wasting taxpayers’ money?
Watch out, Republicans – you’re leading America down the same path that caused the fall of Rome. Read your history.
Everything is Obama’s fault. We have low gas prices, my family has good jobs, good health insurance. The housing market is up, construction is up, stocks are up, unemployment is down. And now my property taxes are lower than last year. Thank you, President Obama.
Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, for the first time in my life I will not have health insurance. My premium has doubled. What is “affordable”?
I also work in health care and have heard the ACA horror stories up close. Extreme deductibles are a good example. Everyone’s premiums in my office nearly tripled in cost per month. How’s that working?
For members of a party that regularly disdains lawyers, Republicans like John Boehner, Kris Kobach and Derek Schmidt sure seem to like filing lawsuits.
Just once I want to hear Kobach say, “Gee, I wonder what I can do for my fellow Kansans today,” instead of “What else can I do to make their lives miserable?” Again he’s asking for help with nonexistent voter fraud instead of helping the 22,000 voters he disenfranchised this year.
Even God does not force Himself on us, so why does the government think it can?
Thank you, Wichita, for the overwhelmingly positive response to the Marijuana Reform Initiative petition. Step 2: Register to vote.
