Opinion Line (Oct. 27)

The far left liberal Democrats will not stop until they completely kill any incentive to make something of yourself. And when they do, they will have achieved what they have always wanted – income equality.


So if Bernie Sanders believes in his own socialist principles, he should be dividing his political donation receipts among all of the Democrat candidates.


The American system is rigged in favor of the elite and wealthiest. This country needs a little socialism to restore the balance between the classes.


You are a hypocrite if you say you hate capitalism, then pull an iPhone out of your pocket to search the Internet.


Short of having a single-payer health system, we should make all the health insurance companies and drug companies into nonprofits. It should be a crime to make a profit off of sick people. They could still pay employees, just not have stockholders swim in a pile of money.


For the 61st time, the Republican House has tried to repeal the Affordable Care Act, only this time they are calling it “reconciliation.” Obviously they must still think that Obama wasn’t born in Hawaii but was born yesterday.


Someone tell Rep. Mike Pompeo the terrorists are responsible for killing Americans in Benghazi, not Clinton. You don’t hold a police chief responsible when one of his officers is killed.


So the Justice Department is not going to bring charges against Lois Lerner or anyone else in the IRS for their abuse of citizens from selected conservative organizations. This is disgusting. Our government can abuse people and not be held accountable.


Sedgwick County Commission Chairman Richard Ranzau forgets that illegal immigrants pay sales taxes and property taxes, the vast majority pay income taxes, and they are charged deductions for FICA, Medicare and Social Security for which they will receive no benefit.


I hope the Royals understand that they beat Toronto because I wore my lucky socks. And when they beat the Mets it will be because of my lucky socks.


I see that three heroes for the Royals are named Cueto, Rios and Morales. I hope they and their families are treated as nicely in everyday life.


Baseball’s great, isn’t it? While listening to one game you can have lunch and dinner, ride 100 miles on a bicycle, or finish the last half of your book. If it goes to extra innings, you can run a marathon.


Wichita should be crawling with street musicians.
